Hands-on science lessons
Biodiversity, Adaptations, Conservation
Registrations are now being accepted for sessions beginning in September.
Objective: Through hands-on learning of Life Sciences, we will spark a natural curiosity for young minds to grow a love and appreciation of science while studying the diversity of life on Earth.
Each session will include a lesson and experiments or projects to reinforce the subject matter.
Topics for this semester include:
- bio-luminescence
- microscopic life
- bugs
- birds
- fungus
- scavengers & decomposition
- mammals
Course details
Teacher: Mrs. Joan Batson
Location: Cross Roads Preschool, 2310 Haymaker Rd, Monroeville, PA 15146
Class schedule: Mondays, 11:30AM – 12:30PM or 1PM – 2PM
Class size: Limited to 16 students
Fee: $40 per month
This program is geared for Cross Roads Preschool students that will be 4 before September 1.

My children have been a part of Mrs. Batson’s science enrichment class (and summer camp!) for going on three years now and we LOVE it! Ryan has just started his second year of Science Enrichment and it is a wonderful experience that adds to his Kindergarten curriculum.
