Curious about the mythology behind monsters and their real-life counterparts? Are they truly monstrous or are they just misunderstood mischief makers? Did the idea of dragons derive from dinosaurs? Are unicorns just imaginary fantasy animals or do they really roam the earth?
Using real specimens and models, explore the evidence supporting or refuting the existence of bizarre beasts such as Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster. How could anyone think that a cute little bat could turn into something as frightening as a vampire?
Create unique and unusual creatures to demonstrate an understanding of these incredible concepts.
Joan Batson will lead the lessons about what may have inspired the belief in these magical beings.
